Gov. Richardson Outpolls Gov. Romney – Time to Throw in the Towel

Rasmussen released a poll showing that NM Governor Bill Richardson leads former MA Gov. Mit Romney.  When the fifth string is beating you, it’s time to throw in the towel, Mit.

You’re a good man, but you can’t win.

  1. Bill Richards has one of the most impressive resumes of ANY presidential candidate. If I had to have a Democrat in office, I would pick him.

  2. I do agree that he’s done a pretty good job in NM. I like Biden a bit better. The issue is Romney has 0 traction and no chance to win. Time to pull out and make room for some of the B list in the GOP to try and crack the A list. Mit had his shot.

  3. I would like to see Fred Thompson enter the race. What is taking him so long. I have read that he’s waiting until May 1st b/c of his L&O contract, but I can’t wait any longer. Rudy and McCain are constantly sticking their feet in their mouths. The Dems are constantly talking about new gov’t programs that they want and I can’t take it any more.

    Thompson/Rice 2008!

  4. If Thompson doesn’t announcy by the end of May I think he has no chance. Rudy is getting back traction, and money. The GOP will need to rally early if they have any chance of holding the Executive branch. Congress is a lost cause.

  5. A lot of “conservatives” are settling with Rudy because they are scared of Hillary and think that no one except Rudy can beat her. Then came a lot of this Thompson talk and now all of a sudden conservatives have a candidate that they feel they can rally behind and a candidate that can beat Hillary.

  6. I understand the “settle” view, but I don’t agree with it. He’s been my first choice for a long time.
