Obama Surging

From Rasmussen:

Survey of 800 Likely Voters

Def For Def Against Net
Obama 33% 33% =
Giuliani 29% 34% -5
Thompson 19% 29% -10
Edwards 26% 37% -11
McCain 23% 35% -12
Romney 17% 33% -16
Clinton 30% 48% -18

This poll is not saying who is winning the horse race, but who has the most support. Right now Obama has the best total of those for compared to those who would vote against him. Giuliani had been leading in this poll among all, and his numbers were slipping during the time studied. They have since rallied nicely. A recent Fox poll has him up 19% over Sen. McCain.

All in all, this is good news for Sen. Obama, and bad news for Sen. Clinton, who also did well in the Fox Poll, but if that poll is removed, the aggregate of the other major polls has her lead to a slim 6% over the Illinois’ Senator. She is up 9.7% with that poll. Former Mayor Giuliani’s lead remains a comfortable 12%.
